Official 2013 Fishing Tournament Rules
All adults fishing in the tournament must have a ticket, including guide.
All persons in your boat must have a tournament ticket, unless this person is under the age of 18 and weighing in the Youth category, which does not require a ticket. All persons under 18 can elect to weigh in the adult categories but must have a tournament ticket to do so.
All boats are subject to be checked during tournament hours to determine if all persons in the boat are in possession of a proper ticket. Such questions may be asked on the polygraph test.
Any person having been checked and found without a purchased ticket will be disqualified.
Tournament begins promptly at 7:00 am. You may not begin fishing before 7:00 am local time, Keaton Beach, Florida.
You may NOT drop a line in the water before 7:00 am for the tournament fish!! You may leave the dock at any time to position yourself for fishing.
Tournament ends at promptly 4:00 pm. You may not arrive late to the weigh-in. You must present your tournament ticket at Weigh-In.
You must be in line at the weigh-in before 4:00 pm. to weigh in a fish.
Only one fish may be weighed per ticket holder in each category.
Fish are judged by weight. (Fish only, please, no ice, water or lead). All fish subject to gut check. All fish must be caught the day of the tournament during tournament hours.
All tournament fish must be caught in the Gulf of Mexico between the mouth of the suwannee and north to Appalachicola Bay.
All fish will be inspected at the weigh-in. Any fish that fail to pass inspection will be disqualified from the tournament.
In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the earliest time the fish is weighed in.
The decision by the Tournament Committee is final.
Fish can be weighed in at Keaton Beach Marina, Sea Hag Marina or the Econfina River Resort provided that you are in line at 4:00 pm. Each fish will be weighed once and given an official weight.
All cash prizes will be awarded at the Keaton Beach official weigh-in site on tournament day. Polygraph tests will be performed at Keaton Beach.
All winners must be present to be awarded their prize.
Hook and Line fishing only - no nets, bandit rigs or dynamite! Live and/or artificial baits are allowed.
Participants are eligible for only one prize per category.
All winners subject to a polygraph test.
All winners must submit: name, address and social security number prior to taking the polygraph test and receiving any prize money.
Failure to submit information and pass the polygraph test will result in forfeiture of your prize.
FWC rules and regulations must be followed for size limitations and minimums.
